The historical drama "Liikheitä", set in the Torne Valley of the 1930s, is a story inspired by true events about one of the most significant religious sects in our recent history and the people it drove to the brink of destruction through mass ecstasy. In the film, Teodor (Jakob Öhrman), charmed by the fascinating Korpela movement, begins to receive visions from God, and although Teodor's spouse Rakel (Jessica Grabowsky) is a solid Christian herself, her faith does not bend quite as far. When the village community around Rakel becomes convinced of Teodor's visions and he takes the position of leader of the movement, Rakel has to choose a side. What sacrifices is Rakel willing to make for the sake of her family, and how can she avoid the fatal consequences when power clouds Teodori's mind once and for all?
